Past - Present - Future

The FFMi was formed by Finnish  leaders who felt the  need for an organization to promote the cultures of the Finnish and Nordic peoples. The values and contributions of these people have made significant contributions to the United States of America. Our changing world makes our FACC mission increasingly significant as technology changes the way we do things. In our busy American society, people commit less time to cultural activities, while increasingly fewer immigrants come from the countries of our parents and grandparents.

Faced with these two societal changes, cultural preservation is left to organizations such as ours. We plan to continue the development of Finnish/Nordic American culture by remembering the past, promoting the present, and creating a lasting presence of Finnish American culture for the future.
